Who I am
I am a freelance photographer from Hagerman, Idaho. I have my Associates in Visual Arts from the College of Southern Idaho and am currently working on my Bachelors Degree at Brigham Young University - Idaho. I am currently not taking any new clients while I am in school but would love to help you find an excellent photographer for your needs.
My History
I have taken photographs for as long as I can remember and it's definitely my biggest passion. While I wouldn't call myself an "armature" I definitely wouldn't call myself a full blown professional. I am always learning and honing my skills as every good artist does.
Artist Statement
I am an artist who mainly works with photography. I use daily life as subject matter, while commenting on the everyday aesthetics of middle class values. I try to capture moments that only exist to punctuate the human drama in order to clarify our existence and to find poetic meaning in everyday life.
I take photographs presented with the aim not to provide an idealistic view but to identify where light and the environment are important. The energy of a place and its emotional and spiritual vibrations are important to my process.
My photographs don't reference recognizable form. The results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes varied.
I characterize my work by the use of everyday objects in an atmosphere of middle-class mentality in which recognition plays an important role.
